Orca

The killer whale or orca (Orcinus orca) is a toothed whale belonging to the oceanic dolphin family, of which it is the largest member. It is recognizable by its black body with a white underside and patches near each eye. Killer whales have a diverse diet, although individual populations often specialize in particular types of prey. Some feed exclusively on fish, while others hunt marine mammals such as seals and other species of dolphin. They have been known to attack baleen whale calves, and even adult whales. Killer whales are apex predators, as no animal preys on them.

I'm a Killer Whale, also called an Orca. As the biggest member of the dolphin family, I'm about 25 feet long, weigh about 2 tons, and I have 50 pearly white teeth in my big, hungry mouth. Aren't I a cutey?

It's called 'breaching' when I leap completely out of the water. We're often seen breaching in seas shows. I guess if they showed us chomping seals the audience would hightail it out of there.

'Spy-hopping' is when I pop my head above the surface of the water to get a good look around. It's a clever way for me to scope out where the food is before I move in for the big catch.
When you're sittin' on the beach and you see me breach, I hope you'll wave hello. 'Cause the seals disappear if I come too near. Hey! It's lonely down below.

Fifty pearls in a line that glimmer through the brine are likely to strike fear. But this clown at heart has really made an art of making people cheer.

Some call me a spy 'cause I like to get by watching seals upon the shore. My lips I lick 'em when my stomach yells "sic 'em" and the hunt begins once more.

It is  monotypic  within the genus  Choeronycteris . [2]  The species is found in  El Salvador ,  Guatemala ,  Honduras ,  Mexico , and the  United States . I'm a Long-Tongued Bat, one of the smallest of the bats. In some ways I have a similar job to be a bee or a hummingbird. My nose might look long and funny, but, hey, I have to keep my tongue somewhere! Like other bats I fly at night looking for food. But my food is the nectar from cactus and agave flowers which I slurp up with my long tongue. It only takes a second to visit each flower. That makes me one busy bat.
